Multiple Products mapped to Same Attribute?

I am putting up a new website, and I want to do the following:

Christmas Basket For Men - (has a bunch of cookies, cakes, and men type of items)
Christmas Basket for Women- (has a bunch of cookies, cakes and women type of items)

I have a product variant for each one, that has the option to Choose the Cake Flavor
The same cake flavors apply to each product.

Can I link these two products to the same Variant, or the same set of options?
I have roughly 80 products where they choose the Cake Flavor...

Unfortunately it can not be done...
