Make sure you enable the product and category and other pages in your settings to get maximum benefit from the sitemap. Makes it larger but you get better SEO bang for your buck,
sounds important but I can't see where to do this (1.7). There isn't an "enable" box on the individual Category or Product pages. In global Settings there is "Enable store name prefix" but I don't think it's that. Can you direct me? Many thanks.
Hi, How about nopcommerce v3.20? I searched these strings on all pages under configuration-->all settings but there are no here. how we can enable "include products" in sitemap? Thank you

Hi, now (v3.20) it's ..go to admin configuration-->all settings commonsettings.sitemapincludeproducts :) best regards
I know this link is old, however, if you have or use the blog on your website, the XML sitemap doesn't pick this up. You can visit http://www.verifythisaddress.com/sitemap-blog-extension to get a free plugin that allows your blog to be included in your SEO Sitemap automatically. Enjoy
I tried to add 'yoursite.com/sitemapSEO.aspx' to the webmaster Tools and verify and am getting the following error,"Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead."
I am trying to place 'sitemap.xml ' file in the 'root folder' instead.
Where would I place this, and/or, can you provide additional guidance for this sitemap issue for google?
You don't need to place an XML file in the root. Instead of using 'yoursite.com/sitemapSEO.aspx' for Google, use 'yoursite.com/sitemap.xml'. The XML is generated dynamically.
