In the demo shop I cant use some essential buttons like "Add To Cart" or  "Submit" (Newsletter) if I dont have Javascript enabled.

Is this just a frontend design issue, or are parts of the shop not implemented for use without javascript enabled?

Good question.  It would appear that, unfortunately, JavaScript is required to get the store running.   This is true for versions as recently as 3.0.  Hopefully this will be addressed.   Other popular shopping carts (like osCommerce) don't require JavaScript to process an order.

All other popular and modern shopping carts (such as magento, opencart, nopCommerce) DOES require JavaScript. By the way, none of the previous nopCommerce versions also work with JavaScript disabled.

If you want to display a warning to a customer about disabled JS, then just set "commonSettings.DisplayJavaScriptDisabledWarning" setting to "true"

Amazon.com, osCommerce are examples of online stores that do not require JavaScript or Ajax to function.   Those are pretty modern store applications.

We migrated our client from osCommerce to nopCommerce.  It's going to be difficult to convince them that this major problem they are seeing now with many of their customers is because we've upgraded them to a "modern" store.
