How to find the version number

I paid someone to setup a nop website like two years before, now I want to upgrade my site to the latest version.  But I don't know which version my site is current running. Is there anyway to find out the version number of my site?

Login as Admin, and it should show in the upper right corner (under the Logout? link)
(For 2.x and 3.x anyway.  Not sure about 1.x)
