Are you talking about "Call for Pricing" extension?
check this link: https://www.nopcommerce.com/p/88/call-for-pricing-extension.aspx

I'm using 1.4 right now, but I'm sure this applies to 1.5 as well.

I didn't see in the user guide how to show a 'call for price' button. I want someone to be able to purchase and then when they get to the PayPal payment page to fill in the quoted price.

Since these are services, the site owner can then verify that they paid the correct amount.

Also, can I set prices as recurring subscription instead of one time buy?

Thanks.

yes that's it. I've installed nopcommerce 1.4 directly from GoDaddy. I have the files on my local, but can't run it locally.

Can I just unzip and upload? and then...  any tips on gettng it connected to the rest of the app?

Thanks for your help.

I hope someone has successfully used this in a siimlar situation:

I installed v1.4 through a hosting provider (GoDaddy). I went through the call for pricing extension instructions.

How do I run the sql file and rebuild the app if I'm not running locally?

Going back to the original question, I think it would be good if displaying price/description on the front page were configurable options. Imho the demo store even looks a bit spartan with just pictures and product names http://demo.nopcommerce.com/
