nop 1.5 and manual payments

Hi All,

Can anybody tell me if it is still possible to process manual payments in nop 1.5 (where card details are stored in encrypted format in the database and visiable with the order to process manually on a card terminal)?

I've heard of legislation that may prevent this, but want to be sure.

What are the best payment gateways to use for processing UK (GBP sterling) currencies? We use HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland) bank in the UK.

yes, you can still collect card details which are encrypted in the database

payment gateways: feedback only, not recommendations - i offer paypal and moneybookers ( so far nobody ever paid through moneybookers !) but actually i like the look of  2checkout which  i used through this site -  i am thinking about dropping the two i use and start using 2checkout. i have also heard that securepay are pretty good.

i'm not sure if customers actually have a preference over where the gateway is based.
