BaseNopModel custom properties

CustomProperties in BaseNopModel is now a Dictionary<string, string> (V4.6) instead of a Dictionary<string, object>

What is the reasoning behind this? It seems more sensible for this to be as it was previously i.e. Dictionary<string, object>
