Stored Procedure in Nop 4.6

Hi All,
Can any one explain me why stored procedure(s) not available in Nop 4.6? Why these are removed?
Can we add manually in latest versions?

All the Stored Procedures are replaced by Linq queries. I guess one of the reasons is it easier to allow the support of multiple database types. Plus all programming is maintained within the one system i.e. no seperate coding in the database. There are probably other benefits.
