Payment Methods based on Customer Roles

Is this possible?

I want 'Purchase Order' method to be available to the 'Wholesale' role only.

You would have to write code to do this, as it is not possible with Nop currently.

Having roles based pricing and such is on the roadmap, but I'm not sure if this will include payment methods.

I dove into the code, and see where I can make the payment methods visible or not, the only problem I have now is how can I access the user roles programatically?
