How to customize the layout of the homepage

Is there a straight forward way that I can follow to change the home page layout ?

I wanna add some banner and wanna change the content of the left site menu and also I wanna change the position of the search box.
Can anybody help me out  ?

All you would need to do is edit the masterpages and re-style the css to go with. NopCommerce is very easy to customise for your own layout.

I just wanted to know if there is any way to design the store front from administration panel.

However, I'll try manipulating the master pages and css and will be back.
