I found the the steps to configure PayPal with nopCommerce on this link

I need to know the steps using latest version of nopcommerce 2.65

Basically you do it the same way as shown in the post you were looking at.  However the URL of your IPN handler will be different then shown in the post.  It will need to be http://www.yourStore.com/Plugins/PaymentPayPalStandard/IPNHandler

Follow the instructions on the configure page of the plugin as well as the info in the post you found and you should not have any problems.
