I have setup a Fedex account and am trying to use it but I am getting the Error: The length of the origin state or province exceeds the limit of 2 characters.
I am in Australia, I have tried modifing the states to QL from QLD but still get the same error. The log seems very brief and not much information is in there.
I solved this problem. Its on the Page "Edit shipping rate computation method" under Fedex and change your state to a two letter abreivation. Then I got the same issue on the destination address so I did the same on the "Configuration > Location > States / Provinces" and abrievated this also.
Surely this cant be the fix - seems a bit shoddy to fix such an important issue?
I have another error now "Could not get reply from shipping server " with URL: https://gateway.fedex.com:443/web-services
Or I get error "
Client found response content type of 'image/gif', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with the error message: -- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><RateReply xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="RateReply.xsd"></ReplyHeader><Error><Code>F513</Code><Message>System failure, please try again later.</Message></Error></RateReply> --.
" with URL: https://gateway.fedex.com/GatewayDC
I was really hoping this would be easier to setup.
I have determined there is a problem on my end, Server side.
The correct URL address: https://gatewaybeta.fedex.com:443/web-services/rate
but
https://gatewaybeta.fedex.com:443/web-services/
is also supposed to work fine.
There is a problem with write back to my server. How does the write backs work? Is a file written to, or SQL writes with this information? Can anyone point me in the right direction as to Directory write access for NopCommerse or IIS Account access to the correct nopCommece directory? I am very impressed with NopCommerce but the how to's could be improved. I am no guru when it comes to Web Dev but someone with no experience has no chance setting this up.
Ok, I found the problem. In the > Configuration > Shipping > Shipping Rate Computation, if you use the Fedex Option, It appears you must live within the USA.
Hardly fair but thats Fedex for ya....
The Origin Address if changed, and most will need to, if the Origin Address is outside the USA this returns Null and the error I have been getting is explained.
Bad luck then - I will need to look for another Shipping provider - Sorry Fedex.
This topic did help a brazilian soul. I was breaking my head trying to get a response for a delivery in Brazil... Not sure if I'll face the same trouble with UPS... guess I'll have to stick to the Local Post Office.
Unfortunately there's no out-of-the-box support for both payments (PagSeguro) and the brazilian mailing system (Correios.com.br).
I've did integrate the first (sort of) and now I'm moving to the former.
Currently I am using Australia Post and use eWay Australia for my store. I had no luck with UPS or Fedex. Both seemed to only support Inside US Shipping only. Maybe someone else can verify this information?
nopCommerce is an awesome product and the forum support is real good. I would however, like to see a tutorial on adding a custome mod for shipping. I wish I was better at ASP dot NET and I would do one. I guess this comes down to a bit of reverse engineering of an existing module and a re-write of a new module to add a new one.
Can anyone help us on this?
Thanks everyone for your help. I have my store running and have now for a few weeks. I am verry happy with nopCommerce, you guys rock.
