general information before I start please

Someone recently introduced me to nopCommerce. I have used many CMS and ecommerce products before. The one question I have is for people who have already used this software, is, does it give you functionality of a CMS as much as an ecommerce engine? For example, is the user able to add just content and pictures not products, plus add new pages and those pages get added to the menu? May seem like a silly question but I have come across others that don't.

The current version allows you to add pages, but they are not automatically added to a menu. You can link to them from other pages though. There is also no versioning or approving of pages.
