We're intending to offer some free downloads via our store. Doing it via NopCommerce with guest purchases turned off allows us to capture data for marketing.
I've just added an item priced at 0.00 to the cart and attempted to go through checkout, but I'm still being asked to choose a payment gateway and enter my card details. Clearly this would not go down well with customers as it looks like a phishing trip!
Is there any config option to bypass payment providers when the cart contains items but the total owing is zero?
