Remove the big banner on home page

HI there
id like to remove the large banner on the default them on the home page . is there any easy way to do this?
im using the latest version 3.8

Hello,

I think you are talking about the Slider on the home page.
You can remove it from Administration -> Configuration -> Widgets and find the widget "Nivo Slider". Click its "Edit" button and uncheck the "Is active" checkbox.
This will remove the slider from your home page.

It seems to me, that you have in mind nivo slider. If correct, then you may go to Configuration/Widges/Nivo Slider and change Is Active.
Or, you may change image to another one, by clicking configure.
