Unable to upload photos

Hello

I have version 1.60 installed. In the admin section, I click on Add a product, then add some info and save it. I then go to the Pictures tab, select a photo from my hard drive and click save.
The page is processing my request and comes back empty handed! I see no photo added. Am I doing something wrong?
I managed to upload photos last week, what could possibly go wrong now?

The picture I am trying to upload a jpeg of size 39,8kb. I also tried uploading using english as the chosen language, but not luck.

what was the problem?

The problem was my stupidity. I was always clicking Save on the top right corner and I completelt overlooked the upload button!
