what do I need to do to update a plugin from 4.0 to 4.1?

Hello,

You can create one demo plugin in v4.1
After you have to code copy paste from 4.0.
May be some code you have to replace.
Just try it.

Diff a built-in plugin.  I.e. find a plugin that is similar in function to yours (e.g.  Shipping, Payment, etc.), and then use a diff tool like KDiff, and compare the source code of one version to the other.
