Show subcategories on hover - sidebar menu

Hi, everyone! I have a question that might be simple to solve, yet I couldn't figure it out:

Is it possible to make the sidebar categories navigation menu show subcategories on hover, just like in top menu, or to reveal them somehow before clicking on them. I need this feature because I have 3-4 levels of subcategories and if you have to click on them one by one it would take too much time.

If u are good in desinging then you can find how topmenu work into public side and from this topmenu you can do this easily at admin side.

It's a Single Page Application (SPA). It's architecture bit different. You may have to change a lot for this.
