Hello There,
i have a Problem.

I Have A Product with Variants in size. Lets say a Hoodie.
The Hoodie has the Variants: Large, Medium, Small
Every hoodievariant is a own Product with its own SKU.
So in my Product View, i see 4 Products. Hoodie, Hoodie-Large, Hoodie-Medium, Hoodie-Small
The last three are not visible individually.

I want the Customer to go to the "Hoodie"-Page and select their size.
Therefore i gave the Hoodie Product Variants and Matched the Products to the according sizes.

PROBLEM:
When the User Selects the Variant and checks out, the order summary only gives the SKU of the "Hoodie", not the SKU of the selected variant "Hoodie-Small".
I even searched in the Databases if i find an entry where i can read the SKU of the "Hoodie-Small"-Product. It does not seem to be possible to find the SKU by this Purchase.

Are there any Ways to do this?

Clarification:
If the Customer Buys the "Hoodie" in the Variant "Small", i want the SKU of the product "Hoodie-Small" displayed in the Order.

Please Help me.
With kind regards,
Joshua

Hi Kabel,

There are two kinds of products Grouped or Simple.

If you choose for a Grouped product, it is actually not a product but only a group in which you associate in your case 3 products (Hoodies) . Those 3 products are separate created as Simple products. After you created the group and 3 simple products you open the group , you will find the 3 simple products under associate and can add them to the group. If you open your store  you can see the group with the 3 products together with one description for the group or for each product separate. Each of the 3 products has his own buy button.

However, if you have a lot of shirts and hoodies, there is de option to work with attributes.
Less work, less data in the database and less data to send over the internet network.
You first can create a template under catalog with in your case the attribute Size and maybe also Color. If you created an attribute name, you save it, and you than have the option to add values, like S, M, L,  with higher prices if you want.
Than you create one Simple product, save it and go to attributes where you can choose for the template Size and you find the 3 sizes added to the product. If you need only 2 sizes you can delete 1, or change the extra cost. You can find just one product in the store with a possibility to choose the size and add it to cart. On checkout you have the description and the size.

The SKU is for ... Stock Keeping so not for costumers, but if you want it on the invoice you can mention it in the description or let somebody customize it.
