rename payment methods

I have hard time renaming payment methods.

I can feel a decrease in customers because they don´t know the term "Check / Money Order" It is mandatory to be able to renaming these paymentmethods to fit the corrosponding language.

I belive it is hardcoded at this point, where can i change this ??

I have found a textfile with a friendly name for it, but that in it self does not solve the problem. If i change this to danish then my customers in other countries does not understand it.

What i recall the previous versions had a possibility of altering it depending of language. !!

What version is that. im using 2.5 and i cant find any translation method. is it in the 2.6 :-)

"Payment method friendly name are localizable now. But currently you have to do it manually. Just add an appropriate locale resource in admin area in the following format – “Plugins.FriendlyName.{0}” where {0} is your plugin system name (for example, “Plugins.FriendlyName.Payments.PayPalStandard”)."

I have some problem but i can`t find "Plugins.FriendlyName.Payments.PayPalStandard" in resourse file.
