Descripción

Used by millions of websites, Akismet filters out hundreds of millions of spam comments from the Web every day. Add Akismet to your site so you don't have to worry about spam again. Sign up for an Akismet plan (A free plan is available) that best suits your needs.

Once you have a 'Key', enable Akismet, enter your key, then chose where to use spam protection.

The plugin checks the following for spam:

  1. Contact Us
  2. Blog Comments
  3. News Comments
  4. Product Reviews
  5. Forum (new topics and new posts)

The plugin sends the store URL, current page, customer IP address, Customer user agent, user referrer, comment type (comment, contact form, etc), customer email (when available), customer name (when available), and of course, the actual comment text - then Akismet returns with either spam or not.

This is a free version and does not store 'spam' for moderation.

Installation does not works on nop 4.40.4
Good feature but in theory because installation fails due to this error "The archive should contain only one root plugin or theme directory. For example, Payments.PayPalDirect or DefaultClean. To upload multiple items, the archive should have the 'uploadedItems.json' file in the root".

Hi,

It installs and works perfectly fine on 4.40 & 4.50 (111 downloads)? How are you extracting the file? If you do a search, there are a few posts regarding this error.

Try extracting with WinRar (if you're using Windows)?

Also, try adding the 4.40 version directly to the plugins directory (once you've unzipped the file), and install it that way?

Regards,
Craig
