Yeah you'll just need to use pingalive.com for this. I have many sites running on it and it does a good job. Not a root cause fix, but does the job.

I have to say that is a completely unfounded comment, I have many websites running in IIS 7.5 all written in ASP.net.
Ranging from webform sites to MVC systems. Initial start can be slow on the webform sites, but not to the extent of NOP, I am having to wait nearly 60seconds on start up for the site to be displayed.
And now SEO is becoming more and more dependant on fast load times this is unacceptable, the system has been as far as I am aware been moved over the MVC as well, so slow start times shouldnt be an issue at all.

This works, but it would be best if nopCommerce kept itself alive like DotNetNuke does

It does (this featured was added back in version 2.40) - https://www.nopcommerce.com/boards/t/15284/keep-alive-configuration-for-24.aspx

Thanks Andrei. I'm still working on converting everything over to 2.4. I like the mobile version. It looks nice. I'm going to contribute the ability to change product images and add a magnifying glass to the product picture. I'll email you a link to the zip file when I'm done, which will be this week. Hopefully, this can make it into version 2.5.
