I have setup two store on my dedicated server both using nop 2.1, sharing same database. I have found that it has very major issue with the cpu usage. In testing only, when only one user open website, CPU usage touches 100%.
I have tried with running only one instance of Nop Commerce, and surprisingly found that it even reaches 100% with one user accessing home page only in just a few seconds. And stays over 80-90% almost all the time.
What is causing this? I haven't changed much in code, except deployed my custom theme.
Is there any limitations on numbers of categories and products we can publish on Nop Commerce 2.1?
I am looking for some tips on how to optimize server (I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2, 4 GB Ram) for having Nop Commerce 2.10 running on multiple application instances for IIS?
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1 Processor: Intel Xeon E5506 @ 2.13Ghz 2.13Ghz Ram: 8 GB 64bit Operating System
Here is the Snapshot of the Resource Monitor

Note that once I enable nopcommerce application from iis, it shoots upto 100% and stays over there, and surprisingly it is not open for public, and only few visits are there for testing, not more than 3-4 users.
Thank you for your response. I'm going through that already and update on success.
Moreover, I'm interested in knowing that Is it by design that Nop 2.1 is too heavy on cpu usage? And are you sure, that by going through changes suggested on forum, it will be fixed?
If so, are you guys working on that to implement those changes in Nop 2.2? And when we can expect it?
I'm very much concerned with this issue, because with such high CPU usage with just 2-3 users visiting site, I can not go live. What happens when thousands of people will visit it? Please help me.
