Hello,
I just made a brand-new install of NopCommerce 3.0, and as soon as it installs I tried logging into the administrator I created during the install. There is no link to the administrative section, so I try to go to the ~/admin to find it. I believe this should be the correct URL? That's what it is in the demo, in any case.
So I checked it up in the database to see if there was some mistake for privileges in the database, and discovered that nopCommerce has changed since I last used it (1.3, I think it was!) I discovered the Role Mappings in table "Customer_CustomerRole_Mapping", and Customer_ID 1 is set to the administrative roles (1, 2, and 3).
But here is something more interesting: Every time I log in it creates a new user in the "Customer" table with the following fields being unexpectedly NULL: Username, Email, Password, PasswordSalt, LastLoginDateUTC. The password format is set to 0. In the Customer_CustomerRole_Mapping table, they are always given the role "4".
I don't know what's going on. I have tried a completely fresh re-install, but to no avail. The problems remain identical.
What next? Does anyone else have this problem? Should I try an older version of NopCommerce? I'll send any information you need.
Thank you!
