it shows on homepage even disabled ...

hello.
as this is my first posting here, I take the opportunity to greet the community.

small question:
I have created several test products and categories. so far it works.
but 1 category is showed on the homepage, which I marked earlier to be shown.

I have then disabled:
* public
* show on homepage

... but it appears still on my homepage (also after refeshing it). Why?
Did I forget something? do I have to run some routines?

pls be friendly I am a rookie :)

(just curious - if this is your first shop, then why 1.9, why not latest version?)

Ähem ... it has been installed by someone around one year ago ... but I never took time to finally start the shop ...

I have seen some posts here that latest version is v2.40, which will be then my next project ...
tough enough for me ... be prepaired to get bombed by questions ... haha

first I did read is "make a backup" ! thats what I currently try.
So what I know, there is a backuptool inside nopCommerce adminpanel and I also try to learn "Cobian Backup".

But anyway ... you think, I should first bring it up to v2.4 before I ask further? ok, will try that one :)
