New Products on front page

How would I go about adding new products to the front page?

select your product in admin, you will see a checkbox 'show on home page'

I'm adding stuff daily,  I'm thinking there has to be some way I can take the module from the "NEW PRODUCTS" page and implant it on the front page.

There is a New Products link on the homepage.  You might want to see how that logic works and then write something similar to display on the homepage.

Other than that.  Write a windows schedule task that gets all the new products and sets ShowOnHomePage to true for all new products in the database.

Yeah, thats what Ive been playing with so far, but have not had any luck.

This is not related – but it does concern home page items.
Here is my problem.
I believe that an editor may have not mapped a few products to any category.
I know that they would by default be mapped to the HOME page.
Now do I show those products mapped by default to the home page so I can correct them.
How do I show HOME PAGE items?
Remember that they were set as PROMOTED or  FEATURED items.
