Hi,

I've added a ssl-certificate.
But when I enable ssl in Config/Stores, I get the error:
"There were too many redirections.
Error Code: INET_E_REDIRECT_FAILED"

And when checking return code I find 301/Removed permanently

Anybody know what's wrong?

Isn't it possible to get SSL working in this case?

The certificate is in place and works - I may open the site with httpS. But I want the ssl-functionality in the store to work. I've followed the documentation, but I still get the error in the first posting.

:-)

Hi,

From admin panel, have you enabled SSL? Have you also set secure URL?

From the documentation I understand that when it's one store you don't need to set secure URL...?
(I've tried, but no difference)

I have to change ssl-settings directly in the database to get the site up and running again - without ssl.

Is it possible to fix this problem, or...?

Some browsers warns users when they open sites not using https, så to not scare people away...

Small steps...

I found in the log that the system user didn't have write access to  some subfolders on the site.
I ordered that change from the hosters.

After the change some of the system responds after enabling ssl in config/store.
One may open front page and product-pages.

BUT:
It's wrong addressing of images -  they are addressed with http, so the browser reports the communication is not safe...

AND when trying to open the cart or admin pages, the page can't be shown, error:
Error Code: INET_E_REDIRECT_FAILED

Result code: 301/Moved permanently

May someone have any idea?
