Adding a item to the shopping-cart with a URL

Is it possible to ad a item direct to the shopping-cart with a URL link from another website?

I would like to make a link on one of the other site we have that direct puts a item in the shopping-cart, so that the user just have to check-out. Thus with out first going to the detail page of the item.

Adding an item to a cart using URL is not possible now
