i want paid registration in my store

It's a quite complex task which needs a lot of customization. But it's already on our roadmap, so you can go and vote for it here

I simply created a custom registration form that adds an item to cart (e.g. Annual registration fee), after registration the customer is forwarded to pay for item.  

On payment you can then decide what to do with the new member, in my case I added them to a specific Role (e.g. paid members) this was coded in the checkoutcompleted page.

I use this Role to offer discounts to paid members

A bit dirty but it works
