Disable "Delivered Status" and still complete order in 1.7

In v1.7 there is now a "Delivered" state on orders. An order must be marked "Delivered" for it to complete.
This is an unnecessary step and confuses our customers when they receive the "Delivered" email from the order state change. There needs to be a way to remove this and put it back to the way it was pre 1.7.

After we have packed and shipped the order it is extra work for us to go and check every shipment to see if it was delivered and mark it as such. In some cases like international shipments we have no way of knowing when the shipment is delivered.

In the future when you make large paradigm changes to the order flow like this please provide a way to opt out of the major change.

you would have to change it in orderdetails page or ordermanager. At whatever point you want to complete your order you can do it there.
