Quick questions

1) How can I make a fullback up from database via admin?

2) How can I show a page as site is under maintenance ?

3) How can I hide UPS estimator panel in checkout page?

1) Backup

Go to admin section >   System   >   Maintenance  

Click on the button "Backup Database"


2) Site Closed or Under Maintenance message

Go to admin section >    Configuration   >   Global Settings  

In the first tab "General"

You will see 3rd option that says " Store closed:  " CHECK MARK this option

Save changes

Now if you try to go to public store it will display a message "store closed"

You can modify this message and write something like "site under maintenance"

To modify this message, see storeclosed.htm page in NopCommerceStore folder.


3) Hiding / Removing "Estimate Shipping Module" from checkout page

Go to admin section >    Configuration   >   Shipping   >   Shipping Settings  

Uncheck the 2nd option that says "Estimate shipping enabled:" UNCHECK
