Recommended method for uploading a file after checkout

I understand that file uploading is not available today; I would like to cast my vote for this as an enhancement request. In the meantime, what recommended methods for sending a file (.pdf or .zip) can be used after the checkout process?

For example, I sell banner accessories and printed banners. I would like my customer to purchase these 2 products, and after checkout, upload their art file for the banner printing. Some of my thoughts were to redirect them to a file upload page, customize a thank you email for the upload customers... but I am hoping for some recommendations which I can easily integrate somehow.

I truly appreciate any recommendations/ideas.

I am creating a similar website for step and repeat banners; I've cleated a Logo Upload page, which can be used to upload and mail upto 4 files.

Let me know if you want the source code. You will need Visual Studio 2010 to include it in your store.

Here this works as a logo or file upload page. If the user is logged in it pulls all the data except the notes and file from the database, making it faster.
