I want to use NOP Commerce to sell drinks. But for the sales invoice, the article is composed of the content that is sold with a VAT of 21% and the container which is sold with a VAT of 0%. How can I configure one article to understand both parts in a single article. I tried product type Grouped (product with variants) but it does not suit me. Thank you in advance for your help.

You could create a product (drink) with a product attribute type Read Only with a value associated to the container, thus each (drink and container) will have its own tax formula. Here you can get a more detailed idea
But the basic product must be invoiced with VAT and the secondary product must be invoiced without VAT. With the solution you offer, they are both charged with VAT … Do you have a solution for the secondary product to be billed without VAT? Thank you in advance.

Have you set the secondary product as Tax exempt or associated to a tax category with a tax rate=0?
Hi Eduardo, Thank you for your follow up. I don't know in your but in my version (4.10) I don't find an option to setup the tax rate for the product attribute. May be I do wrong… but the attribute I setup is not linked with a product in the catalog. I only create an attribute in Catalog -> Attributes -> Prodduct attributes. I define a value but I have not tax option in this way. And I add this attribute to the product. If I made a mistake Don't hesite to give me the correct way. Yves

Hi Yves 1) Create a product for the container and set tax=0 2) When defining the value of the product attribute of the beverage set Attribute value type:Associated to a Product and then associate the container created in step 1 to this value.
It's not working .. I add a product with a tax of 0 % to create the attribute. I you have some time for me, I setup a NOP Commerce 4.10 solution to test this. I invite you to connect with those value :

The test (and only) product is in BIERES BELGES --> BLANCHE DE CHARLEROI
It's a test environnement you can make all tests you want.

I just checked it and it does not work :(((. I found that there is a bug/problem already reported and not yet solved I made several changes to the Tax Settings (in advanced Mode). Please check and correct them
