Hi

I have tried playing around with this but couldn't quite figure out if the feature is hidden away in there.

To give an example.

As you stock cameras and have multiple suppliers that stock the same products, each with different wholesale prices, stock level and perhapse different SKU's.

Each product would have a prefered supplier (vendor), maybe because of the best prices, cheapest shipping, account setups etc

Is this possible?

Not out of the box. Each product is associated to one vendor and he has control of all the info associated to the product (name, pricing, descriptions, images, etc.). To get what you want would require customization work.

Hi

Thank you for the answer. Was looking into this.

Is this something you might add in the future?

Although I can see this as becoming larger than just a simple small feature if you take into consideration all the various conditions which a store owner would like to apply.

For example:
Customer wants to buy two items. Both items can be bought from the same vendor thus reducing shipment cost. Product two is cheaper from another vendor, but has his own shipment cost. One of the vendors might be closer to the customer thus quicker delivery to the client.

This is just a simple example where a lot of conditions can be taken out of and store owner decide what should happen in these circumstances.

Over complicates things, yes.

Thanx all the great work you have done so far.

I dont think that this will be added in the next future. Check Codeplex all open worktitems filtered by"multi-vendor" and you will see many which seem to be more relevant than this one.
Said that I think it is better that each vendor creates its own products and assigns them to the appropriate categories/manufacturers and in the product lists the vendor is always identified.  If 2 ore more vendores have the same product it will be listed several times and the customer can decide right away which one is better. This is the way is handled in the price compare sites.

Hi All,

For customization assign multi-vendor to single product. Will it be a heavy customization or will take little efforts?
Please guide me in this.
One more thing,
Why the product variant tag has been removed?
Where it gets handle ?
