Updating Wishlist items like updating shopping cart items.

I would like to know what is the best approach to allow the customer to update a wishlist item that has attributes.

I do see that the customer can edit the shopping cart item that has attributes.

I would like  also when Customer-A shares the wishlist with Customer-B. Allow for Customer-B to edit/view the wishlist item so that the attributes load into the page just like it does for editing a cart item, but if the Customer-B clicks add to wishlist or cart that it becomes Customer-B's item and does not change Customer-A item.

Such functionality is not available out of the box and will require some customization

Thank for the replay. If it were you doing this. Would you build something custom or extend the wishlist function.

I would implement it the same as it's already done for shopping cart page.
