Hello all,

I have installed 3.30 onto a server, which has several other software packages installed, all of which are using gmail to send mail out using CDO via gmail, port 465. all these work seamlessly. I have tries every combination on nopCommerce 3.30 to configure the same e-mail account, but when I test all I get is a timeout after 60 seconds. The mails are being queued.

The log contains the standard "Error sending e-mail. The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.5.1 Authentication Required" , but all the details are correct, direct from my other applications, and since its the same server, no issues with that port.

Can somebody please confirm that they are indeed using the non default 25 port, and has anybody used gmail to send mail out of 3.30. Failing that, can anybody please give me the name of a mail provider that does work with 3.30?

Thanks for your help people, love this product :o)

Panic-Over, all fixed now :o)

For anybody out there who is using G-Mail, this is the settings:

E-mail Address = place your g-mail account name here
E-Mail Display Name = Anything
Host = 587
User = again, use your gmail account name
Password = Enter your gmail password.
Click ON for SSL
DO NOT click "Use default credentials/

Next (and this is a MUST!), click SAVE, then go back to main config (don't need to come out, but I do..)

Next, check out by putting in test e-mail address in "Send email to", and press send test e-mail.

These test e-mails seem not to be queued, like the other e-mail the system turns out.

To view the other e-mails, goto System -> Message queue, and click off "load not sent emails only"

The e-mail are sent out by a job ion the Scheduled tasks, so goto System -> Scheduled tasks , and click on the "Run Now " button.

Great product. and e-mail work, it was just a user error ;-)

Hi there,

Hoping you can help with my user error! We use Fasthosts for one of our client's email accounts but when we put in the settings

host = smtp.fasthosts.co.uk
Port 25

with the username and password

we get this when we try to send a test email?

Transaction failed. The server response was: <unknown[IP address]>: Client host rejected: Access denied

where the IP address is written above it listed the Server IP address that the NOP application is hosted on ( i just didnt want to write the IP for security) - any ideas of the issue?

Thanks
