Stream line Checkout

Hi,

I have customers saying "Why can't NOP checkout like Amazon" - its so much quicker ...

I use amazon and have to agree that their checkout process is slick (once you have made an order or set up defaults)

Proposed process:-

1. Checkout
            you can see on 1 page - invoice address, Delivery address, Payment option, what was in the shopping basket
            Can change any options on this page if required
2. Click "Buy Now/Pay now" (Confirm Order)
             takes you to payment provider to pay – worldpay/paypal – whatever -  Pay for goods
3. Back to website Order updated as paid , notes in order notes

From Checkout back to website with a paid order - 2 clicks (and whatever was needed for the actual payment)

Current Process  - NOP - we have
a. Checkout
b. Confirm Shipping address
c. Payment Confirmation (although there is only 1 option)
d. Confirm Order Page (same as CHECKOUT point 1. above)
       - go and pay
e. Back to web site

From Checkout back to website with a paid order - 4 clicks (and whatever was needed for the actual payment)

We have 2 redundant steps (compared to Amazon)   b. Confirm Shipping address, c. Payment Confirmation
with d.confirm order equivalent to 1. Checkout in Amazon world

Can it be made slicker !?

If you only have one Payment Method, that selection step can be bypassed.  Check your setting for  paymentsettings.bypasspaymentmethodselectionifonlyone

Thanks - that is set to True,
But i get a step saying "you will be sent off to the worldpay" site to pay for your goods ...
See these steps

Checkout
1 Shipping Address
2 Shipping Method (this step is skipped)
3 Payment Method (this step is skipped)
4 Payment Information
                 You will be redirected to WorldPay site to complete the order.
5 Confirm Order

Step 4 could be part of the confirm (last page) step, indeed all the steps could be seen on 1 page (assuming they have defaults/previously chosen by the customer).

I'd like to see

Customer hits "Checkout" ------------> sees a confirm order page that is a single page that has "Confirm Order" (takes you to pay for the goods) and displays shipping/billing/payment option chosen/basket of goods/ (with ability to change each of those if required)

I don't want much ...

My paymentsettings.bypasspaymentmethodselectionifonlyone is set to True. One problem I am having is that Step 4 (Payment Method) still shows up on the one page check out and is not clickable. It's a little confusing. Is there a quick fix to not have Step 4 appear at all if there is only 1 payment method?
