Hi guys!

I'm starting to try NOP 3.7 under azure and I have some questions:

1- The azure FTP service is very slow, so, each site update take much time to copy all files, that way, the site will be broken while files are copied? Is there a staging area to prevent it?

2- We usually send 30K e-mails daily using our server relay (godaddy provide us one for free), so we will need a new relay. Do you know a good and not so expensive one?

That is it for now.

Thank you!

It seems that nopCommerce comunity is not familiarized with Azure yet, the is a lot of not answered questions, errors and doubts, so, the best to do is nop Staff team provide a good tutorial or documentation about hosting nop on azure, it will help not only us, but all new users that should migrate to nop, making it bigger than never.

Please take care of it.

This new feature is not a simple feature, it is the powerful of scalability, performance adjustment, security and better stores.

When it comes to azure everyone is quite :)

1. I use ftp normally. what files are you trying to copy?
2. mail is a problem :) I would keep my mx records with godaddy and still use their email service.

here is sendgrid prices for azure if you want to use their service - https://sendgrid.com/windowsazure.html.

I have Nop on Azure, and I ftp through adobe dreamweaver and it works fast. I have a shop with multiple stores and it was easy to ftp multiple themes for the stores.

One bonus I like is that Azure has visual studio online, so I can just go and edit my nop theme css for each theme really easily, and all the changes happen live.

The only issue I have is the cost I have it on a dedicated server, which you have to have in Azure if your site has a SSL certificate. I pay about $86.00 a month to host my site with the database and backups. I am only using about 15% of the storage I am paying for.

I suggest have a look at Sengrid (from azure market store). The setup is pretty simple, and the email service, dashboard info about the emails (on sendgrid website) is neat.. they have a good mobile app for that too. However, not sure about price competitiveness compared to other services.
