Allow Customer to Save Lists of Products (Without Ordering) - Not Wish Lists

Hey guys,

I can't seem to find anything like this in the settings/features. I have seen this functionality in other eCommerce frameworks, but I don't know if there is a way to do this in nopCommerce. Maybe there's a plugin?

Consider the following case:

A business makes daily/weekly purchases from your site. They often order the same set of products, and sometimes even the same quantities. Perhaps one week they order 10 of 10 products in the list, and the next week, they only need 8 of 10 products in the list.

This is often the case with our business customers. So, we want to have a "Save to List" button on our products that (when clicked) opens a modal or page that allows the user to add the product to an existing list or create a new list (and name it). Upon doing so, this list would be accessible via their account page or the cart.

The "Lists" page would allow the customer to open a list, mark the products they wish to order, set a quantity for this order and finally add those products to their cart. We also want them to be able to copy/move items between lists :)

Does anyone know if this is already included in nopCommerce, or if there is a plugin available? I'd prefer to cut down on development time if at all possible. If nothing exists, perhaps I could duplicate and modify the Wishlists portion of nopCommerce. We'll see. Thanks in advance for any info!

You can use this plugin. Or if you say I can help you apply your required functionilty.

The built-in "Re-order" functionality works well for the majority of our repeat customers...they can just click Re-order button from within their account and then edit the quantities on the shopping cart page if need be.

Also, you could just rename "Wishlist" on the public side of things to say "My list" or whatever...
Once viewing their wishlist, customers can click a button to add it to an order(if enabled in settings)..items in the wishlist are permanent, so will remain there even after buying them..making them available on subsequent visits.

To change the word "Wishlist" throughout your public pages, you'd go into admin >> configuration >> languages >> view string resources >> and filter the second column (little funnel icon) with Contains "Wishlist" ..then edit any of those string resource values that appears on public pages to say whatever you want them to say..

We use this feature for our B2B or recurrent customers (such as a supermarket). We call it "Shopping List" and disable the "Move items from wishlist to cart" feature to have them copied from wishlist to cart.

Furthermore we have added an import feature of an excel sheet (SKU and quantity) to add products to the shopping cart and/or shopping list

The idea of renaming the "Wishlist" feature is a good idea. It would cut down our development time and cost. Maybe later down the road, we can look at creating a separate list module...

Good stuff guys! I like it. If you guys come across any plugins that would allow us to retain the "Wishlist" as a separate feature, please let me know :) Ultimately, we'd like to have two (different functioning) list components.

Also, the import spreadsheet feature is a good idea. I could see our customers utilizing an uploader like that. As usual, the nopCommerce community is there to help- thanks dudes!
