Page Not Found Only in Chrome!

I have a website that works perfect in IE (but a little slow, talking to ISP about it). Anyway, home page loads no problem in IE and chrome. However, a specific product page works in IE, but generates a nopCommerce PAGE NOT FOUND error, that is the error is a nopCommerce redirect error, not generic browser page not found. Clicking on any site links to that product page or entering it directly in address bar also fails in Chrome.

Why would a load in IE but fail in Chrome?

Thanks,

I'm not sure why except that maybe Chrome is less forgiving of bad syntax and/or errors.

I am guessing that you use a theme and/or custom plugins which cause "tabs" to appear on your product page.
Those "tabs" are actually other pages which are referred to in real-time...my guess is that you have a tab configured for your page that was deleted...so it reports a 404.

Are all the configured tabs for this product visible in IE or is there one missing?

Also possible...maybe in your long description/overview you have embedded an iframe with a page that no longer exists? IE just shows nothing, but Chrome breaks...

One thing you can try if you have access to the server where you site resides is to remote desktop into your server and open your page with Mozilla Firefox. Doing this will provide complete descriptive errors which will give you a clue.

Found the solution, thanks for putting me in the right direction.

My product had a future Available Start Date. It would not show in Chrome? Why? because I wasn't logged in to the website in Chrome!

I was logged in the site in IE so it showed me the product page. Logging into the site in Chrome or removing the Available Start Date solved my problem.

It has nothing to do with Chrome, just with the way I was testing the site.
