Gather search terms by date?

Hi everyone,

I’m just curious as to whether someone has some insight as to how NopCommerce logs the search terms that users enter into the search box.

We’re trying to refine the search keywords for our product catalog and see which products people are looking for that we don’t currently offer.

I see that there’s a SearchTerms table in the database but it doesn’t seem to log the time when they were entered (not surprising - most people wouldn’t care and would be a nightmare to catalog, and also taking up space in the database).

So, my question is, can somebody suggest a way that I can gather the logged results? Or would it be easier just to just export the information and then clear the table daily?

Hello Travis,

It would be great to extend nopCommerce search log and store all searches with time stamp. You can make a plugin and hook on search method.
