About Checkout Attribute

Hello.

I have created one checkout attribute. Now I want to do two things with that.

1. I want to hide that, no one can see that.
2. I want to set some condition, like if in few orders I want to set it to NULL & in few orders I want to set it's default value.

I can check this condition from query string OR session value.

But I don't know where to put this code.

Please help me.
