There is not enough space on the disk

Yes, thumbs get created on the fly if they don't exist.

Go to Admin > System > Warnings, and be sure that

All directory permissions are OK

All file permissions are OK

I contacted the internet provider about this.  They increased the disk space quota for the Anonymous ASPNet User and that fixed it.

Why that would make a difference, I have no idea.  I did not bother to ask them.  I was just happy to get rid of the problem.

Also, I checked the log today and don't see any There is not enough space on the disk errors since that quota increase.
