I'm not sure if I can explain this correctly.
I think the Private Messages in the forums here should be a continuous conversation in one subject area.
Currently, if you want to go back and review a series of messages about one subject with another poster, you have to keep switching back and forth between the Inboxand Sent Items.
It should be that all replies to one subject are in one message just like it is in the forums where you can read all of the posts in one page.
