how to configure the editor in the admin to not automatically insert tags or tag properties NC4.2

Is there any way to configure the text editor in the admin section to NOT automatically add or change HTML tags?
It has the habit of constantly appending <p> tags and, on the <video> tags it adds height and width properties (you can change, but it changes them to what it thinks they should be), making it impossible to make <video> elements responsive since the width/height can't be overridden in CSS.

Really? No way to do this?

I have another problem:
The editor automatically deletes events from html tags as well. I went to the vendor's site to see how to stop this horrible "feature", but there aren't any settings to stop this behavior.
I would just like to stop ALL of its AUTO formatting. It's useless and not HTML5 compliant, regardless.
