Nop Ajax Cart plugin, which as the name implies provides some great ajax add to cart user experience without navigating to the shopping cart. The users get a nice mini product page if they have to select any product attributes. The Ajax Cart functionality is available not only on the product page but also on all Category pages as well as New Products page, Search page, etc.
The Nop Ajax Cart plugin has also a free trial you can play with.
