I am attempting to install NOPCommerce on my website on Go Daddy with 2016 CPanel.  I have ftp'd the no source code files on to the subdomain root folder and also created a MySQL database.   However, when I go to the site, i am unable to get the installation screen.  I am also not sure how to get the database connection string in this version of CPanel.

Is this possible with Go Daddy.  Has anyone ever worked on this?  Do I have to create a PHP file or config file specifically to do the connection string.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi.
For nopcommerce you have to use Windows hosting. Are you sure that you have right hosting on GoDaddy?
You can found nopcommerce requirements here: https://www.nopcommerce.com/technologysystemrequirements.aspx

Let me know, if you have any questions

Hi Victorleo,

Thanks for responding.  Your post led me in the right direction.  and also I saw a few other posts that were helpful.

I checked with go Daddy and unfortunately i do not have the right hosting setup.  I would have to have Windows Plesk Hosting and I dont have it setup that way and inherited the site from another developer.  I would basically have to start all over again if I change this and the site is already up.

But for others who do have Windows Plesk,  or are setting up a new site with GoDaddy.

Hope this helps somebody else.  Maybe I'll switch to nopcommerce on my next project or when the site is upgraded
