Enabling Wishlist

We are trying to get the wishlist option to appear on our homepage but it isnt showing. We have enabled it on the back end through
configuration>access control

is there anything else we would need to do to make it appear?

Im using v4 seems to work fine ?
Check setttings in /Admin/Setting/ShoppingCart
Set shoppingcartsettings.displaywishlistafteraddingproduct to true
Displays wishlist after you add an item to wishlist

OK so the problem is still that we dont have a button that says add to wishlist or a wishlist option but on the back end everything is selected

I just tried v3.7 and it worked fine - Is your version customised ?
Do you see the other buttons under the price on the product page ?

We have V4.20 and after trying all of the above suggested fixes, we are still unable to see a wish list button. Any other ideas?
