Google Maps Geocoding API quit working

Google Maps Geocoding API quit working: after I input an address, it will no longer autogenerate longitude / latitude and therefore no longer set a pin on the map.

There are no error messages(at least none that I am aware of).

nopcommerce 3.5

Google Maps support tells me they checked my configuration and see that my account is properly configured and is ready to use the Geocoding API, and it seems that the issue is within the implementation and it would be best to reach out to the support team of nopCommerce as they have a better understanding on how the application works and uses the APIs.

So, here I am, asking for your assistance. Please give me some hints as to how to troubleshoot this problem.
