Database question

version 4.2
Ive created a live working test site on a subdomain of my live site
i.e.
test.domain.com

I now wish to use this set up as my live site

(without having to rebuild the whole site)

Can I copy all the nopcommerce set up files from my test site folder to my live domain folder and then  also use the test database to run the live site ?

Im thinking that i would just change the shop url in the admin area to the live domain ?

or would that not work ?

Yes, it should work. Make sure(Double-check) your datSettings.json file and plugins.json are copied and the connection string is correct. If it is not copied, then you will get the installation page when you access the site.

Thanks for the advice. It worked a treat. In fact all i had to do was to copy the wbesite files to the live fiolder and it ran straight from the test database. My test site and live site are both hosted on the same server. I did not need to copy the database.
